After careful consideration, the City of Polo has made the difficult decision to discontinue curbside yard waste collection. Over the past several months, the City has provided multiple notices and mailed letters reminding residents of the yard waste collection rules. Unfortunately, despite these efforts, the guidelines have continued to be disregarded, making it necessary to end this service effective immediately. Residents may continue to dispose of yard waste at the City's Yard Waste Drop-Off Site located at: 2186 S. Galena Trail Please remember that this site also has rules that must be followed to ensure it remains available for everyone to use. The drop-off site is clearly marked with designated areas for grass clippings, leaves, and a burn pile for all other acceptable yard waste. Please place your materials in the appropriate area. The area is monitored by security cameras, and violations of the rules will result in citations for non-compliance. We understand this change may be disappointing, but it is necessary to protect City resources and ensure proper disposal of yard waste.
